Three-hundred days of sunshine and three inviting rivers within miles of each other are a lure for visitors from across the nation to this year round, outdoor paradise. Once visitors experience the sunshine, the recreation and friendly people, they often find it difficult to leave.

Recreational and sports enthusiasts love the opportunity to boat, water ski, windsurf, swim, fish, hunt, walk, jog or bike on miles and miles of riverfront paths, bowl, roller and ice skate or simply enjoy the abundant city parks. Athletes enjoy the region’s largest sporting complex which includes six softball fields, batting cages, adjoining soccer fields and a professional baseball stadium close by. The area also offers professional sports teams: the Tri-City Americans Hockey Team, Tri-City Dust Devils Single A Baseball and an Indoor Football League team, Tri-City Fever. In all, Tri-Cities boasts several public swimming pools, an abundance of City Parks, many spray parks for tykes to cool off in, multiple track and football stadiums, and several golf courses.

Hunters, fishermen and nature lovers enjoy the scenic natural habitats that are home to deer, Canadian geese, Chinese pheasants, quail, chukars, Chinook salmon, steelhead, trout and large-mouth bass.

Those who enjoy more leisurely activities will love touring the over 160 wineries within a 1 hour drive of the Tri-Cities region. Tri-Cities is know to produce some of the finest wines in the country. Visitors come from all over to sample the area’s award winning wines and specialty food products. Another stroll visitors will want to take in are the open-air farmers markets in Richland or Pasco. The markets offer a terrific chance to sip, sample and select direct from the producer. Open from approximately May through November, you’ll find farm fresh fruits and vegetables, savory sausages, freshly baked bread and delectable pastries along with local hand made items and more.
